Add A Medicare Supplement Plan To Original Medicare‡ To Help Pay Out-Of-Pocket Costs
Peace Of Mind
Original Medicare‡ provides essential healthcare coverage but it can leave you with high out-of-pocket costs. A Medicare Supplement Basic Plan with optional riders can help cover most of these costs, including copays, coinsurance, and deductibles.
Our Basic Plan also includes enriching benefits like SilverSneakers® fitness memberships, and some have SpecialOffers discounts on vitamins and weight loss programs.1
Flexibility
For Wisconsin residents, Medicare Supplement Basic insurance plans also provide flexibility so you can see any doctor or hospital in the U.S. that accepts Medicare patients.
And your plan goes with you even if you spend part of the year living in a different location.
Talk one-on-one with a licensed agent to see if an Anthem Medicare Supplement plan is right for you. tel
Medicare Supplement Plans In Wisconsin
To sign up for Medicare Supplement, you must have Original Medicare‡ Parts A and B.
In Wisconsin, Anthem offers the Medicare Supplement Basic Plan.
With the Basic Plan, you may decide to add extra coverage, called optional benefit riders. Rider options include coverage for:
These riders are completely optional and have varying premium levels. You'll pay a monthly premium that can help you control costs.
When Can I Enroll?
You can enroll in a Medicare Supplement plan in Wisconsin anytime if you already have Original Medicare‡ Part A and Part B. The best time to enroll is during the Medigap Open Enrollment Period, starting the first month you have Medicare Part B and you’re 65 or older.
When you enroll during this time, you cannot be denied coverage even if you have pre-existing health problems.
If you enroll later, you may be denied coverage because of a pre-existing condition.
You also can enroll during your Initial Enrollment Period, starting three months before you turn 65, and ending three months after the month you turn 65.
Add Prescription Drug, Dental, And Vision Coverage
Medicare Supplement plans do not include prescription drug coverage, and most do not include dental, vision, or hearing coverage. That’s why you should consider adding these benefits with Anthem standalone plans, including an Anthem Prescription Drug (Medicare Part D) plan for an additional premium.
